Activision has quietly added DualSense adaptive trigger support to Black Ops Cold War on PC, as highlighted by some of its players.
Activision has rolled out Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s Season Four Reloaded update this week, marking the midpoint of the current season. A number of changes have been outlined by Activision, Treyarch, and Raven Software. However, all of them failed to mention that the new update has also brought with it adaptive trigger support for DualSense on PC.
The change has been completely omitted from the update’s patch notes and didn’t come to light until players started to notice it for themselves. Joslatt1 was one of the first to highlight the change, taking to Reddit to share their discovery. A number of other Black Ops PC players have replied to the original post confirming the new feature is indeed legitimate.
The only actual mention of it on Call Of Duty’s part is in the Black Ops Cold War menu. An option labeled Trigger Haptics allows you to turn the feature on and off. PS5 players have been able to enjoy Black Ops Cold War’s DualSense features since launch. Different weapons offer up different levels of tension when pulling the trigger, both virtually and on the controller, adding to the realism felt when playing the game.
Activision and some of the other studios behind Black Ops Cold War and Warzone have been a lot louder about what else the Season Four Reloaded update includes. While PC players using a DualSense might have their weapons feel more real going forward, it may take them longer to bring down their enemies. Raven revealed the biggest rebalancing since Warzone launched is included in this update, reducing the multipliers for torso and headshots.
Returning to the Black Ops side of the update, Zombies mode is getting a new map, and the nuke killstreak has been added to almost all of the game’s multiplayer modes. All of this while Raven continues to battle back against Watzone’s constant flow of cheaters. A new tach claiming to allow console players to cheat was taken down by Activision only a few days after it started to gain traction.
