Pearl Abyss’ flagship MMORPG Black Desert Mobile and Online’s collaboration with Netflix’s latest fantasy hit Cursed is now live. The crossover event was ceremoniously announced two weeks ago, on the day when Cursed had premiered on the streamer. To commemorate the launch of the Arthur-Nimue folklore-inspired drama, Pearl Abyss made Black Desert available for a free download on its website. And now that the developer’s collaboration is on floors, there are several more incentives for players and fans to grab.

The BD x Cursed Collaboration Event is a special in-game questline that focuses on Nimue- the powerful and tragic Lady of the Lake. Nimue has been teleported into the universe of Black Desert along with some menacing Red Paladins. In the new avenue, nemeses seek to eliminate her magic. So, players must embody the medieval enchantress and defeat those who seek her powers, meanwhile helping her escape the fantastical arena.

When Black Desert announced its collaboration with Netflix’s Cursed on its website, it detailed some of the rewards that players would be able to bequeath if they timely complete the challenge. The exclusive adventure’s primary prize is Fey Coins, which users can exchange to obtain valuable items like the Abyssal Crystal Chest and the Mystical Relic Chest in return. Players must, however, possess a CP of 2000 or higher to participate in the questline, and the challenge can be undertaken only once per family.

The BD x Cursed Collaboration Event became available on mobile on July 28 and on Online and PC the very next day. But the special plotline is yet to arrive on Black Desert’s Xbox One and PS4 versions, where it will go live on August 5. Until then, players are able to play the game freely 0n their phones and computer systems. In fact, if they reach level 50 before the event arrives on PS4 and Xbox One, players can keep the game for good.

Black Desert’s Cursed promotion is in full swing, and it’s doing both the show and the game a commercial favor. The Arthurian legend reimagination is currently one of Netflix’s most-watched show, so Black Desert enabling players to explore the show’s fantastical realm is bound to be a success.

Cursed on Netflix is a televised adaptation of Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler’s illustrated novel of the same name. It follows the life of the legendary sword-chosen Nimbue, who joins hands with a charismatic mercenary Arthur in order to save the world from doom.
