Over the weekend, a new “feedback” tab appeared on the Bethesda.net website that asks a bunch of questions about your gaming habits, the sort of games you like, how often you visit the site, and whether or not you make fan art. It also asks a question that seems very pertinent to Starfield, Bethesda’s upcoming space-based RPG.

The question asks you to rate how much the following statement applies to you: “I spend a lot of time creating my character, home, or spaceships.” Pretty much all of Bethesda’s games let you customize your character on creation, and most of them have some sort of home base customization too. But a spaceship creator? The only game it could possibly relate to from Bethesda is Starfield, which seems to heavily imply there will be some kind of spaceship creator.

We got our first look at a Starfield spaceship last November with a few leaked images. It was just a model, so there’s no telling what parts of the ship would be customizable, but it certainly had a segmented look that could mean bits and pieces are swappable and/or upgradeable.

Bethesda has been pretty mum on details, but we do know that Starfield will be single-player only, have a procedurally-generated map that’s larger than both Skyrim and Fallout 76, and it’ll play on a totally new game engine from Bethesda.

As for Starfield’s release, that might be coming sooner than expected. According to Xbox Era, Microsoft has already purchased ad space for Starfield and has scheduled it to run later this year. Industry insider Jeff Grubb mirrored XboxEra’s sentiment for a possible late 2021 or early 2022 release.

It’ll also get a day-one launch on Xbox Game Pass along with The Elder Scrolls 6. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the Bethesda site for more surveys that could hint at the Skyrim sequel.
