Updated February 25, 2022 by Matthew Mckeown: Shadow Warrior 2 throws a lot of monsters at you right out of the gate, but to cut through those screeching hordes it does provide you wide a wide arsenal of ass-kicking toys to play with. By the end of the game, you’ll be drowning in all sorts of guns and gnarly blades that it can get a little overwhelming with how bursting your pockets get with gear.
Every weapon has its own unique bonuses and modifiers to slot in, adding so much insane variability to how you play. With the upcoming release of Shadow Warrior 3 showcasing even more brilliantly designed and bonkers weaponry, what better way to take a look at some of the greatest guns the series has offered than by checking out even more of the best weapons in Shadow Warrior 2.
15 The Triad Revolver
Why use one gun barrel, when you can use three. With the Triad Revolver, you have a triple-barrelled big blaster that hits hard and comes with a nice bonus that boosts the fire rate by 25 percent on weak spot kills. Combine it with a dual wield mod to bump it up to six barrels and blast your way to victory easily.
A side quest reward available around halfway through the game, it’s a solid upgrade to the Devolver Anaconda, which itself is a brilliant workhorse for the majority of Shadow Warrior 2. If you want to get crazy with it, slip in some mods for crit chance and crit damage to turn it into a handheld health bar destroyer.
Pros: Solid Sidearm For Most Of The Game.
Cons: Chews Through Ammunition.
14 Saw Blade
It’s clear Flying Wild Hog is a fan of 40k, because why else would there be not one but two different Chainswords to use in Shadow Warrior 2. Whilst one is locked behind a pre-order bonus, the Saw Blade is the option available to all and it’s also the more powerful of the two.
Unlocked by killing the Champion Queen of the DOLLS in the Flirty Fishing mission, the Sawblade lets you can feel like a real 40k Space Marine as you swing around this buzzing blade, watching it chew through the thickest of demon hides. With a damage output of 108.5 per swing and a 100% chance to restore Chi on hit, it’s one of the most effective chainsaw-type weapons in the entire game.
Pros: Lets You Be A Space Marine, Stronger Than Regular Chainsaws.
Cons: Swings Like A Katana, Easy To Get Overwhelmed.
13 The Overseer
There are only a small handful of assault rifles available to choose from and the Overseer is the best of the bunch. This mid-game weapon is a powerhouse of damage that can carry you through some of the tougher demon-hunting missions.
It packs a decent fire rate of 13 rounds per minute and a pretty sturdy damage output of 10.6 per shot. Plus it comes with a bonus of +20% damage for six seconds after every kill which makes it perfect for chewing through hordes. Dropped by the Champion Juggernaut Magmator during the Body Shaking mission, the Overseer is a dependable damage dealer that won’t steer you wrong.
Pros: Damage Increases By 20% Per Kill.
Cons: Requires Beating A Tough Boss To Earn.
12 FeuerFaust Powerglove
This Powerglove may look like a special weapon from a Fallout game, but it spews out a skin-melting heat ray, reducing whatever it’s aimed at to cinders in seconds.
Available as a reward for beating the third section of Flirty Fishing, it sports a massive clip size of 50. With a consumption rate of 6 rounds a second, it’s perfect for dousing large mobs for extended periods of time. Plus it applies a buff of +10% damage every second during continuous fire encouraging you to empty the clip and set everything alight.
Pros: Continued Fire Increases Damage, Splash Damage, Good Crowd Control.
Cons: Can’t Be Modded.
11 Fist Of Gozu
If you’re looking for a hard hitter then you can’t go wrong with the Fist of Gozu. Though it’s only available through the Way of the Wang DLC, if you plan on powering through some extra Shadow Warrior 2 content then it’s a good selling point for picking up this particular addon.
Aside from being a massive meaty double-bladed axe, the biggest selling point of the Fist of Gozu has to be its bonus unaltered stats. Right off the bat you have a 20 percent damage resist to give you some tanky defense stats, a 100 percent chance increase for Bloody Kill effects, unblockable swings, and a 50 percent damage buff for standing still. So if the fast and frantic ninja jumps are not your style, the Fist of Gozu should be perfect since it rewards you for standing still and taking those hits whilst pouring out some great melee damage.
Pros: Easy To Use With Big Damage Swings.
Cons: Tank Build Required To Maximize Potential And Not Die Quickly.
10 Eternal Infinitor
Submachine guns in Shadow Warrior 2 can be a bit hit and miss. Early on they can provide really good DPS, but as the game progresses their damage output can fall behind and their propensity to chew through ammo makes them a liability. The Eternal Infinitor though is a great solution to this problem.
Given as a reward for completing one of Heisenberg’s side missions, this demonic-looking SMG never uses any of your ammo. This is thanks to its perk that gives a 100% chance to provide a free clip upon reload. Although it can only be modded with Common Tier upgrades and does feel a bit like you’ve turned on infinite ammo cheats, it has a decent DPS of 88.4 and unlimited ammo means it’s a good fallback for chip damage in a pinch when everything else has run dry.
Pros: Infinite Ammo, Reliable Source Of Chip Damage.
Cons: Only Accepts Common Upgrades.
9 Blizzard
Whilst there is a tonne of ranged weapons at your disposal, sometimes wading into the melee and carving chunks out of Demons can be much more fun albeit incredibly dangerous. This is especially true in the later stages of the game when it can throw some stupidly strong Demons your way.
A great counter for this is Blizzard. This set of frost-covered dual swords appear in the game as part of a Christmas event when you touch a Snowglobe in the Wang Cave. They provide a respectable 43.2 base damage per swing, but the real selling point is their 100% chance to freeze on hit. You also get the ability to launch an Ice Nova explosion that deals 10x damage. Perfect for fast hit and run skirmishing, it’s a vicious stun-locking joy to use.
Pros: 100% Chance To Freeze On Every Hit, Launches 10x Damage Frost Nova.
Cons: Seasonal Reward That Can Go Unnoticed By Most.
8 The EX-GF01 Minigun
Don’t let its funny name fool you, the EX-GF01 Minigun is a bullet spewing firehose that just absolutely shreds everything in front of it. Available as a reward for the Bounty Mission Merciless Captain, it’s a heavy damage dealer.
This large Gatling gun sports an impressive DPS of 170.1, but the real deal clincher is that it restores +5.0 life points per second after every five seconds of continued fire along with a +25% boost to damage when you’re standing still. It’s perfect for turning yourself into a portable turret that heals and renders everything from low-level Demons to Elites into mincemeat in seconds.
Pros: Heals As You Shoot, Boosts Damage, Great For Pinning Down Targets.
Cons: Chews Through Ammo, Low Mobility Makes You Vulnerable.
7 The Stapler
The Stapler is one of three nail gun-type weapons in the game and it’s by far the strongest of the bunch. Available as one of two rewards for completing the Demon Trafficking side mission, the Stapler is quite the monster in the right hands.
With a DPS rate of 76.9 and damage output of 17.9, this 30 clipped beast comes with a 50% chance to Crit on hit and a 30% bonus chance to restore half the ammo in your clip for each kill. Its ability to not only dish out damage but reduce your ammunition consumption to a snail’s pace makes it an economic choice for Shadow Warriors that need a dependable damager dealer that’s not going to go dry anytime soon.
Pros: 50% Crit Chance, Kills Restore 50% Ammo.
Cons: Not The Highest Amount Of Damage When Compared To Other Weapons.
6 Agent of Chaos
If you’re after Shadow Warrior 2 weapons that are boss melting doomsday devices then the Agent of Chaos should be in your toybox. A late-game drop from the Lord of War, and whilst it does come with a small movement penalty, its increase in accuracy bonus is worth the slowdown.
The longer the Agent of Chaos fires, the more accurate it becomes with a decrease in miss rate of 30 percent occurring every second of continuous fire. So if you’re looking for something that turns into a firehose of bullets hitting exactly where you want them, then this fancy-looking Gatling Gun is one you need as it offers some solid ranged DPS.
Pros: Highly Accurate Gatling Gun.
Cons: Slow Start-Up
5 The Destroyer Of Realms
The Destroyer of Realms is a fitting name for this Rocket Launcher as it’s absolutely devastating. Available as a drop from Devouring Kamiko in the Way Of The Wang DLC, this weapon is a powerhouse of damage.
With an output of 703.4 per shot right out of the box without any mods, this high-end launcher also comes with a relatively quick firing speed and a 20% buff to movement for 10 seconds after every kill. So it’s ideal for jumping around an arena like an untouchable ninja whilst you saturating it in explosions.
Pros: High Damage, Buffs Mobility On Kill.
Cons: Slow Reload, Need To Be Standing Still To Fire, Locked Behind DLC.
4 The Stick Of Doom
There’s a lot of Easter Eggs in Shadow Warrior 2 – some of which are linked to special weapons and The Stick Of Doom is one such gun. A reference to the Super Shotgun used by The Doom Slayer in the popular FPS from ID Software, it’s one of the strongest shotguns in Shadow Warrior 2.
Available from Larrys Shoot Shack the second it opens, this double-barreled blaster comes with a fast two-second reload time and a health bar shredding output of 135.8 damage for each shot. Plus it has a 50% Critical Hit Chance perk that can devastate even the toughest of demons. Combined with the Double Barrelled or Charge Shot Perk it can one-shot most enemies in the game.
Pros: High Damage Output,Has Potential To One-Shot.
Cons: Slow Fire Speed.
3 Springchester
Looking like a classic Winchester rifle given a slick sci-fi makeover, the Springchester is a Gauss Rifle is one of the Shadow Warrior 2 best weapons options for a Sniper build. With a beefy base damage of 354, it can one-shot most level demons surprisingly well and wear down elites substantially before they can get within range to do any damage.
Almost as powerful as the rocket launchers, when combined with the Vanish skill which lets you turn invisible the Springchester is perfect for the hard-to-spot sniper build. Elemental buffs add some nice extra damage flavor, but unlike the other weapons aren’t necessary, but sticking in some fun piercing mods or range boosters turns it into a laser-accurate bolt of Zeus from the darkness.
Pros: Best Sniper Rifle In The Game.
Cons: Slow Fire Speed And Bad Choice For Short Range.
2 Ghidorah
Sporting a similar skin to the three-headed Thunder Dragon of Toho film fame, Ghidorah is a set of lightning-fast Combat Shurikens that you can pick up for completing the third section of the Heisenberg mission and from Larry’s Shoot Shack if you miss it.
It’s a stylish and slick set of slashing blades that comes with a pretty nice bonus for playing aggressively. For every special attack kill achieved it will boost critical hit chance by 10 percent and lay on some damage resistance padding of 30 percent for 15 seconds. A substantial buff that can keep you shredding fiends in the fight. It’s also got a cool-looking effect on its force slash and in Fury mode it really sticks you close to the larger targets, allowing you to deal out ridiculous amounts of damage in a frenetic fast frenzy.
Pros: Super Fast Melee DPS.
Cons: Usefulness Drops Off Quickly Unless You’re Constantly Swarmed With Targets.
1 Arm Of Orochi
Arguably the strongest Katana in the game, the Arm of Orochi can turn you into an absolute melee monster. Given to you by Orochi Zilla to help with the final fight against Ameonna in the Violent Takeover mission, it’s a damage-dealing Katana that’s unstoppable in the right hands.
Cutting through foes with an impressive DPS of 87.2, this blue-tinged energy sword provides a 10% buff to movement speed, its attacks are unblockable and it sends out Force Slash energy waves without requiring any Plasma as ammunition. Ideal for melee builds, it can chunk through boss health bars in mere moments.
Pros: Strongest Melee Weapon In The Game, Free Projectiles.
Cons: Locked Behind Mission 12.
