Apple took its time unveiling the AirTag tracker, but the personal object finders are now very much a part of the company’s ecosystem.

So, what is an AirTag? Well, It’s a simple puck-shaped device that can help you find the things you care about. And with the likes of Tile dominating the GPS tracker space for the last few years, Apple’s in-house alternative aims to simplify the process and help you keep tabs on all of your Apple gadgets.

  • Apple AirTag tips and tricks

With that said, placing an AirTag bought on its own isn’t always that easy.

That’s where the below range of accessories comes in, as we’ve gathered the very best AirTag accessories on offer, from key rings to pet collars, in order to help you track things a little more easily.

Best Apple AirTag accessories

  • Solid pricing Good protection

Against

  • Not overly stylish

First up, we’re turning away from Apple’s many in-house accessories to highlight this one from Belkin - an affordable, sturdy way to turn your AirTag into a keyring.

We think this is a better choice for most people than Apple’s more expensive alternatives, even if it’s a little generic.

  • Great price Excellent protection

  • Quite bulky

This canny little case from Caseology lets you do with your AirTage what you will - you can attach it to a keyring, slip it in a bag or anything else you might fancy.

It adds a nice layer of protection for your tracker, though, from bumps and scratches, and opens up a load of potential options for you, all at a nice sensible price.

  • Easy to use Can be added to straps

  • A bit flimsy

If you’ve already got a favourite pet collar that you don’t want to sacrifice, these clever cases can most likely slip onto it to give you tracking using an AirTag.

They can also, of course, fit nicely onto straps and other bands, making them a great pairing with a bag or other items - they let you have control over all of that. Plus, you get two for a nice low price.

  • Looks great Durable Colours to choose from

  • A little overpriced

If you want a similar loop design, but don’t want the hassle of leather, this is a great option from Apple.

It’s made from waterproof polyurethane, and, therefore, is a little more weather-resistant. It’s also more affordable, making it great for adventuring.

  • Extra protection Simple build quality Nice lanyard

  • Quite simple

We’re back to Belkin, which has another version of its Secure Holder that comes with a strap - a useful little addition to make it easier to attach to a wide range of items.

We really do think these holders are the most sensibly priced choices out there right now.

  • Classy leather Ages really well

  • Pricey

Apple does have a leather loop of its own - so you can really have it however you want.

It’s cleanly designed, and classy to look at, making it a great pick.

  • Great price Premium looks

  • Not as well made

If you want a keyring that resembles Apple’s own offering - including the nice use of leather - but you also don’t to pay full price, look no further.

Cyrill’s keyring is a really nicely made alternative, and you’ll struggle to find many people who can tell the difference, in our opinion.

FollowPaw AirTag Dog Collar

  • Perfect for pets Really durable

  • Quite expensive

Apple didn’t create the AirTag just for keys, though - there are so many more potential applications, and this gorgeous collar is one of the best we’ve seen yet.

Made from durable but sustainable cork leather and with a special pouch for an AirTag, this is a perfect way to track your dog without lumbering them with a big tracker. Plus, it’s mighty stylish.

Hermes AirTag Key Ring

If you’re happy to drop a huge wedge, this is as good as AirTag accessories get.

  • View offer on the Apple Store

  • Astounding quality Beautiful materials

  • Vastly expensive Doesn’t look so different from cheaper versions

At the extreme end of the pricing scale, Apple has teamed up with Hermès again to create custom-designed AirTag holders.

There are a few designs but we think the simplest is the strongest - this Barénia keyring is beautiful to look at. Its price is eye-watering, though, so we don’t imagine this will work for many people.
