Bendy and the Dark Revival is being delayed to next year. The highly-anticipated followup to Bendy and the Ink Machine was announced back in early 2019, and the last we heard about the horror title was in June, when Joey Drew Studios revealed the game would be releasing as one complete package instead of an episodic format.

Bendy and the Ink Machine debuted in 2017, and amassed a big following. In the story, a retired animator finds something terrifying in his old workplace. The gameplay was fine, but what attracted people was the unique atmosphere, characters, and lore. As a horror title, players could feel the terror as the Ink Demon approached them. Bendy has since become a franchise, with collectibles, shirts, books, and much more.

Fans were looking forward to returning to the halls of Joey Drew Studios this year in Bendy and the Dark Revival, but will be waiting a bit longer. The company recently announced the title is being delayed into 2021 to ensure it’s the best Bendy game it can be. Check out the post below.

Given the year is almost over, it’s not surprising The Dark Revival is being pushed back. While also disappointing, it’s good the game is being delayed to ensure a quality experience. If it really is that much scarier than its predecessor, we should be in for a treat. Sadly, there is no specific release outside the general 2021, so for now, we’ll have to wait and see when the next update is.

Little is known about The Dark Revival’s storyline. Before the game received a title, creator Mike Mood said it was neither a sequel nor prequel, which is certainly a confusing statement. We do know the main character is a girl named Audrey, and Allison Angel will play a role as well. With a game like this, you shouldn’t expect to hear much about the story until getting to play it yourself on release day. Hopefully it won’t be too long before Bendy returns.
