It’s been almost 20 years since Baldur’s Gate II came out, and almost a year since we found out that Baldur’s Gate III was finally being developed. Thanks to a new trailer released on the game’s official Twitter account, we also know that we’ll be getting a whole lot more news about the upcoming game over the course of the next month.
According to the tweet, the news will start dropping at the start of the online digital games festival, Guerilla Collective, on June 6, and will continue to be released until the end of that same month.
The trailer itself doesn’t give much away about the game, though it does tease some of the creatures and spells that players will run across while playing the game.
Thankfully, the extent of what we know about Baldur’s Gate III doesn’t just come from the short teasers that have been released. Thanks to a Reddit AMA, we know that the story of the game will be linked to the original two classics, and that players will be able to play as all the classes from the 5e Player’s Handbook.
Unfortunately, as far as a release date goes, all we know is that it’ll be released “when it’s ready.”
