Back 4 Blood has been confirmed to be a part of Xbox Game Pass on day one, and a new trailer showcases the game’s PvP mode.
The news came as part of Microsoft’s E3 2021 conference and confirms an earlier leak that claimed the game would be coming to Game Pass on day one, as well as mentioning the PvP mode.
The new trailer confirmed the news right at the end of the showcase by showing the Game Pass logo. Back 4 Blood is joining other big third party titles like Outriders in being part of Game Pass.
Also revealed in the trailer and leaked earlier in the week is the new PvP game mode that has players able to play as zombies or survivors. There was only a brief glimpse at the mode shown, so it’s not clear how exactly it works, but it’s now confirmed that players will be able to play as the zombie characters.
The trailer also showed off some of the game’s characters in action through cutscenes, although it’s not clear if these are just for the purpose of this trailer or if the game actually has scenes like this.
Until now, the only game mode that was known for Back 4 Blood was the PvE scenario, but now it looks like it’s taking even more cues from Left 4 Dead and having a PvP mode as well. Back 4 Blood is the main focus of the Warner Bros conference, so we’ll likely see it in action soon.
