Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Star Wars may be two of the most popular things of the past half-year, and nothing can express that more than an Animal Crossing: New Horizons player who created a tribute to Star Wars in the insanely popular Nintendo Switch game.
Reddit user macinfo posted to a Reddit page for Animal Crossing: New Horizons displaying his creativity in his fandom of Star Wars and celebration of Star Wars day. Specifically, he created an image in-game of meme-of-a-generation Baby Yoda.
The image can be seen below.
As indicated, Baby Yoda has turned into one of this generation’s most notorious memes and has been used in everything from a mod in Star Wars Battlefront II to a mod for The Sims 4. As Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become one of Spring 2020’s most popular games, if not its most popular, it’s no surprise that Baby Yoda managed to cross paths with it to some extent.
Of course, the celebration of Star Wars extends past fan expression. Not only is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order getting a free update with a New Game Plus mode, but a Darth Vader VR series will be coming to PS4 this Summer. While the franchise has ridden a bumpy road the past few years, there’s no question of its presence in culture and entertainment.
