A Rick & Morty fan has immortalized the hit cartoon show in their Animal Crossing: New Horizons home.
Aww, geez Rick! You can practically hear Morty’s catchphrase thanks to Reddit user c0ughcool’s faithful recreation of Rick’s Garage in New Horizons. They managed to capture the look and feel of a mad scientist using mostly furniture pieces available in-game and just the one custom design.
First, there’s the overall space. This looks just like Rick’s Garage from the show, right down to the placement of the washer and dryer. They make great use of available in-game furniture, including the painting table, a chemistry table, and a workshop table to make Rick’s workspace, while on the opposite wall there’s a set of storage shelves that look like they could be in anyone’s garage–minus the Austrilopith skull filling in for the alien skull.
The finishing touches are the custom decal on the ground made to look like Rick’s portal gun, and of course, c0ughcool themself dressed up exactly like Morty, complete with the slightly terrified expression.
But the best part? The turnip references. “I’m gonna need you to take these (burp) turnips, Morty. Take ‘em t-take these turnips and stick ‘em waaaaaay up your butt Morty!”
