AVICII Invector, one of last year’s most notable rhythm game releases, will soon be making its way to Nintendo Switch, allowing players to dance along to the tunes of the late musician while on-the-go.
Wired Productions will release AVICII Invector Encore Edition on September 8th for Nintendo Switch (along with a physical retail version for the PlayStation 4), bringing with it the 25 tracks available on the original version of the game, in addition to 10 new tracks, which will include songs from AVICII’s posthumous album, Tim.
For those who already own AVICII Invector - available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC - all of the new tracks releasing on the Switch version of the game will be available to purchase as downloadable content.
All music royalties from the game’s sales will support The Tim Bergling Foundation - an organization that “advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health emergency and promotes removing the stigma attached to the discussion of mental health issues.”
The new tracks will include:
Tim Song Pack
- “Bad Reputation” “Freak” “Heart upon my sleeve” “Peace of mind” “SOS”
Magma Song Pack
- “Addicted to you” “My Feelings For You” “Seek Bromance” “Sunshine” “Trouble”
The team at Wired Productions is clearly excited for more of the EDM superstar’s music to make its way to Switch and other platforms, as Managing Director of Wired Productions, Leo Zullo, expressed the following:
“AVICII was incredibly talented and wanted to share his music with the world, allowing people to feel it and experience it in this new way. AVICII Invector Encore Edition enables that vision to live on as a celebration of Tim Bergling’s wonderful spirit and life-affirming music.”
AVICII Invector Encore Edition will release on September 8th for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in physical retail for $29.99. No word yet as to how much the two separate DLC song packs will cost, but they will certainly be worth it for fans of the game and AVICII himself.
