The sudden passing of EDM icon Tim “AVICII” Bergling was a huge loss for the music industry. But thanks to video games, his legacy is still alive with the release of AVICII Invector. One of the best-reviewed rhythm-based games last year, the title is finally about to land on the Nintendo Switch. Owners of the console can now try out a demo of the special encore edition of the game before it’s release on the console next month.

AVICII Invector allows players to experience the late artist’s music in a whole new way. The premise of the rhythm-based game has you control a spacecraft as it rides through hyperspeed as you ride through the music by zapping the notes that appear on the screen. Fans of AVICII can play through 35 of his greatest hits in this inventive new gaming experience. Players can race through six different worlds alone or with others through couch co-op. The game was developed by the Swedish musician before his passing in partnership with studio Hello There Games and Wired Productions.

The game was originally released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC back in December 2019. The game’s profits all went towards the Tim Bergling Foundation to help tackle mental awareness, climate change, and nature preservation. Tim originally worked on the game to celebrate his love of the rhythm games through his music that has touched millions around the world. Players who own a Switch can now check out a demo of the game on the system’s eShop. Once it’s downloaded, anyone can try out the first two levels of the game and pre-order it ahead of its release.

The Switch version of the title will come uploaded with two new song packs from the artist’s posthumous album “Tim”. With this format, players can play Tim’s music the way he envisioned it, playing the game wherever they are. Up to four players can participate locally as they can fly through different tracks and attack every beat that comes their way. Here’s what comes in the two new packs:
