Koei Tecmo’s soundtrack for Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy is now available on Spotify.
Go Nintendo found out that Spotify users are able to listen to the entire soundtrack; every battle theme, field track, and town song is available through this release. In total, there are 70 songs that can be listened to right now.
However, if you’re more of a stickler for your CD player, you can now buy the physical edition on PlayAsia. You can get it for around $35, depending on the retailer, plus shipping. Shipments are expected to go out on February 3. The CD release comes with both discs and a serial code to download the scorebook “Otonoha no Shirabe 20” as a bonus.
A highlight from the album is the energetic, “Balmy Summer Breeze,” battle theme that has a sick Sonic-style bassline behind a catchy melody. There’s also the calming track that plays in the city called, “Base of a New Adventure,” which can soothe your manic pandemic brain for a few minutes with its bright and charming melodic theming. “Skipping Along the Cobblestones” helps that feeling of a bustling town during the days of summer with an upbeat percussion segment and some lovely brass sections.
The cover artwork you see on the CD release and Spotify is from the character designer of Atelier Ryza 2 Toridamomo. If you love their design for the original Ryza, there’s also a Nendoroid of the titular character for sale. She’ll brighten your day with that big smile!
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy has been impressing critics since its release. We gave it a favorable review. The story is surprisingly charming with some chuckle-worthy lines spruced here and there. Also, the crafting system is an addictive element of the Atelier series that really works with this entry as you level up and gain new items to use in battle. You can also customize Ryza’s apartment to your liking.
Exploration in the game’s world has also been stepped up with climbable surfaces, mounts, underwater areas, and a grappling hook that help you traverse. Atelier Ryza 2 has been a breath of fresh air for those who want to find solace in a beautiful anime world.
