Although Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is more akin to Origins and Odyssey, several reveals have confirmed that it is bringing back several classic features. This ranges from elements of social stealth to the instakill hidden blade, to post-assassination confessions and even the loading screen. In previous games, Assassin’s Creed players could spend the loading screen time walking around, brandishing weapons, and jumping for no good reason. It may be a bit outdated, especially for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game which look to eliminate load times, but fans are happy to see more classics return....

The team behind Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has explained that the game needs to be exclusive to next-gen consoles due to the scale and size of the game’s open world. In a recent interview with IGN, creative director Magnus Jansun and technical director of programming Nikolay Stefanov talked a little bit about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s next-gen exclusivity and how the game could only be made for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S....

Details about BioWare’s mysterious upcoming intellectual property have come few and far between, but this week Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen has confirmed one more detail about the game: it’ll be “more Sci-Fi” related, which may indicate that the company’s Mass Effect and Star Wars titles may not be BioWare’s only offerings to integrate futuristic or spacefaring action. Several months ago, the video game publisher Activision and developer Treyarch decided to provide those looking to give Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode a go the chance to do so with a free week-long trial. Now, the companies have opted to give gamers another free trial period of the first-person shooter’s battle royale mode by making it free-to-play throughout the month of April 2019. Starting today, Activision and Treyarch has made it so that the last-man-standing battle royale portion of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be free for everyone to play from April 2, 2019 through April 30, 2019....
